‘Paxful Is A Scam’- Here is Why #PaxfulNgIsAScam

The Number 3 current trending topic in Nigeria is #PaxfulNgIsAScam, Stating Paxful, a cryptocurrency and gift card trading site, is a fraud and scam.

Nigerians have been lamenting on twitter and social media, how Paxful, has been freezing their funded accounts without means of ever releasing it or refunding them, some even got frozen while trying to dispute a transaction made on Paxful. Many cryptocurrency traders have been sceptic about using Paxful, but this might put a last straw to it.

Check out tweets from Paxful Users in Nigeria as they lament about Paxful being a scam

Some Nigerians even alleged that Paxful has been scamming them since 2017

The only unique feature why people in Nigeria have picked Paxful over everyother exchange, is its Ability to convert gift cards,

Cryptofrica Interviewed a paxful user that has lost money to the exchange and this is what he had to say ‘They know most Nigerians that use that site are the ones that exchange gift cards for bitcoin, once they track your account and see you have traded more than 1 bitcoin in a day, they target Nigerians and block their account, I had 3.4btc in my account and they blocked it, they feel Nigerians are scammers, if Quidax could trade gift cards, it would have been a better alternative “.

Currently, we have reached out to Paxful and hope to get a reasonable response soon on this issue.
